I'm Chris, a Japanese-American photographer currently based in Seattle. I enjoy taking wildlife and travel-focused pictures and am inspired by bold colors, vast landscapes, and unique cultures.
I picked up my first camera when I took a film photography class with my best friend in high school. Spontaneously capturing memories as they unfolded brought me joy and inspired me to pursue photography as a hobby and document my life experiences, often as the unofficial “historian” among my friends.
My goal is to travel to two foreign countries a year to experience new cultures and learn from living life in unfamiliar ways. My favorite place to travel to is the Serengeti; shooting animals hunting and roaming the wilderness allows me to appreciate the untouched, natural beauty of life.
When I’m not out shooting, I can be found exploring the outdoors, discovering new EDM music, collecting sneakers, watching Lakers games, and checking out new restaurants with friends.
